Advanced Drafting & Detailing
Effective drafting and detailing are the heart of CAD productivity.
DoubleCAD™ XT Pro employs a large selection of line, arc, curve,
and spline tools, so that no matter the situation you have got the
right tool for the job. When used with DoubleCAD™ XT Pro snaps,
modification tools, and drawing aids, you will be able to quickly
draft and document your designs with outstanding flexibility. Powerful
tools such as custom brush styles, transparencies, and smart dimensions
also greatly enhance detailing. No need to buy a separate hatch
pattern creator, DoubleCAD™ XT Pro even comes with its own.
Most significantly, though, DoubleCAD™ XT Pro includes a powerful
and innovative Drafting Palette that expedites the drafting-to-detailing
process by creating fully associative, 2D views or hatched sections
(even from xrefs). Because they are associative, if the model is
changed, or the section plane is updated, the 2D profiles are changed
automatically to reflect those changes and all hatches and dimensions
are updated accordingly. The time savings and increased accuracy

Architectural Power
Architectural users will like intelligent, attribute-rich self-healing
walls (a considerable improvement over the AutoCAD LT®'s double-line
tool) and the range of other parametric windows, doors, slabs, roof,
rails, and stairs that are ADT compatible. Any block can be used
as a custom architectural element that will automatically align
to self-healing walls when inserted. Advanced handle-based editing
of selected objects gives you instant access to sizing, scaling,
moving, rotating, and positioning without selecting multiple tools.
Brush styles, including hatch patterns, can be created using bitmaps,
transparency, and full color. Hatch patterns can even be used in
layered combination for a better expression of your design concept.
Door and Window schedules are easy to create, as are Bills Of Material.
With the Style Manager, users can customize or modify styles and
parameters for architectural object types, schedules, text, and
AEC dimensions. Using the Parametric Parts Manager, users can script
and define parametrically driven objects which can accelerate all
levels of design and detailing.
Mechanical Power, too
What-if analysis is made easy with 2D geometric and dimensional
constraints and is a tremendous time saver as you iterate designs.
Apply relationships between two or more objects for accurate designs
which can then be adjusted easily. Make a change to one object in
a design, and constraints automatically update the drawing based
on the user defined parameters. A host of special tools, like a
Gear Contour, Surface Roughness, and Weld Symbol tool, add mechanical
capabilities not found in AutoCAD LT®. And compatibility with
.SAT, .IGS, and .STEP files means DoubleCAD™ XT Pro is an excellent
